科學(xué)技術(shù)普及（簡稱科普）是國家和社會(huì)普及科學(xué)技術(shù)知識(shí)、弘揚(yáng)科學(xué)精神、傳播科學(xué)思想、倡導(dǎo)科學(xué)方法的活動(dòng)，是實(shí)現(xiàn)創(chuàng)新發(fā)展的重要基礎(chǔ)性工作。黨的十八大以來，我國科普事業(yè)蓬勃發(fā)展，公民科學(xué)素質(zhì)快速提高，同時(shí)還存在對(duì)科普工作重要性認(rèn)識(shí)不到位、落實(shí)科學(xué)普及與科技創(chuàng)新同等重要的制度安排尚不完善、高質(zhì)量科普產(chǎn)品和服務(wù)供給不足、網(wǎng)絡(luò)偽科普流傳等問題。

《關(guān)于新時(shí)代進(jìn)一步加強(qiáng)科學(xué)技術(shù)普及工作的意見》的印發(fā)，標(biāo)志著新時(shí)代推進(jìn)科普工作的系統(tǒng)布局已經(jīng)形成?！兑庖姟诽岢?，面對(duì)新時(shí)代新要求，為進(jìn)一步加強(qiáng)科普工作，應(yīng)堅(jiān)持把科學(xué)普及放在與科技創(chuàng)新同等重要的位置，強(qiáng)化全社會(huì)科普責(zé)任，提升科普能力和全民科學(xué)素質(zhì)，構(gòu)建社會(huì)化協(xié)同、數(shù)字化傳播、規(guī)范化建設(shè)、國際化合作的新時(shí)代科普生態(tài)，為實(shí)現(xiàn)高水平科技自立自強(qiáng)、建設(shè)世界科技強(qiáng)國奠定堅(jiān)實(shí)基礎(chǔ)。《意見》強(qiáng)調(diào)，要從以下幾個(gè)方面加強(qiáng)科普能力建設(shè)：強(qiáng)化基層科普服務(wù)；完善科普基礎(chǔ)設(shè)施布局；加強(qiáng)科普作品創(chuàng)作；提升科普活動(dòng)效益；壯大科普人才隊(duì)伍；推動(dòng)科普產(chǎn)業(yè)發(fā)展；加強(qiáng)科普交流合作。
