My dear parents:
      去年離開爸媽到現(xiàn)在已經(jīng)有一年的時間了。在這一年里，我和新華一起，經(jīng)過打拼，終于有了自己的餐廳?，F(xiàn)在，餐廳生意平穩(wěn)，我們生活也相對安定，一切均好，就是很想家。這幾天每晚做夢都夢到爸媽，恨不能飛回去探望爸媽。可是，餐廳離不開我們，因此，我和新華決定邀請爸媽一起來我們這里，和我們生活一段時間。

It has been a year since I left you last year. Throughout the year, Xinhua and I finally have our own restaurant after hard work. Now, the business of the restaurant goes smoothly, our life is relatively stable, but we feel homesick badly. I have dreamed of you these days, I want to fly back to see you very much. However, we can’t leave the restaurant behind, so Xinhua and I decide to invite you to live with us here for a while.  
       說實在的，加拿大比我想象中還好，不僅溫哥華這樣的國際都市，即便是我現(xiàn)在生活的cumberland雖是一個小鎮(zhèn)，也如天堂一般。這里依山傍水，山清水秀，干凈寧靜。不僅風(fēng)景如畫，讓人迷醉，更重要是，這里的人文環(huán)境，更有和諧之美。這里的人們平等、平和、友善。不同民族生活在一起，相互尊重。特別讓我感動的是，這里對中國文化更情有獨鐘。每年元宵節(jié)，這里專門組織中國燈節(jié)，放孔明燈。這一天，當(dāng)?shù)卣畯臏馗缛A專門請來中國劇團表演中國戲曲。我們餐廳被指定專門為275人參加的慶祝宴會提供餐飲服務(wù)。中國餐飲在這里很受歡迎。6月份，這里還將專門舉辦紀(jì)念活動，悼念那些上個世紀(jì)在這里挖煤死難的華人礦工。所有這些讓我由衷的感到當(dāng)?shù)厝嗣駥ι淖鹬?，對華人的尊重。

Honestly speaking, Canada is better than I imagined, not only for international metropolis like Vancouver, the small town Cumberland I live in now also is heavenly. It is located near the mountain and by the water, has picturesque scenery and is clean and quiet. Extraordinarily picturesque is not the only merit of it, the harmonious social environment here is more important. People here are equal, gentle and friendly. People from different ethnic groups live together with mutual respect. I was particularly impressed by the special preference they showed to Chinese culture. On the Lantern Festival every year, they specially organize Chinese Lantern Festival to light up “Kong Ming” lamp. On this day, the local government invites Chinese theatre groups from Vancouver to perform opera. Our restaurant is designated to provide catering services for a celebration banquet attended by 275 people. Chinese food and beverage is very popular here. In June, commemorative activities will be specially held here to mourn for those Chinese miners died here last century while digging coal. All these things make me sincerely feel the local people’s respect to life and Chinese people.                 
       爸媽，這是一個與中國完全不同的國度，是一個值得留戀的國度，是一個像天堂一樣美好的國度。我真的希望爸媽能與我們一同分享在這里生活的快樂。

Dad and mom, this is a country completely different from China, is worthy of nostalgia and wonderful like heaven. I really hope you can share the happiness of living here with us. 
      每當(dāng)閑暇的時候，我就想起親愛的爸爸媽媽，不僅黯然神傷。爸媽一直生活在太行山的崇山峻嶺中，一生充滿了艱辛。我記得媽媽曾對我說，一輩子的夢想就是坐一次飛機，看一次大海。每當(dāng)想起媽媽的話，我心中都會很難過：在這個世界上，對很多人來說，這可能是很平常的事情，可對我的父母，卻是一生的夢想。想到自己不僅走出了大山，而且飛越了大洋，生活幸福，卻不能為實現(xiàn)父母的夙愿盡一點力，我心中充滿了不安。我內(nèi)心一次又一次地沖動，堅定著我的意志：一定要讓爸媽也看看外面天堂一樣的世界，讓老人家夢想成真。這也算是我對父母養(yǎng)育之恩的報答吧。

Whenever I am at leisure, I would miss my dear parents and couldn’t help feeling sad. You have been living in the high mountains and lofty hills all the time and your life is full of hardships. I remember that mother ever told me that her lifelong dream is to take a plane and see the sea. When I think about my mother’s words, I feel very sad: it might be a quite common thing for many people in this world, but not for my parents, it is a lifelong dream. I not only went out of the mountain, but also flew over the ocean and lived happily here, but while thinking of this and never did anything to realize my parents’ long-cherished hope, my heart is filled with anxiety. My heart urged again and again and I confirmed my determination: I must let you see the outside heavenly world and make your dream come true. This is also my repayment to the love and care you gave me while bringing me up.       
    現(xiàn)在爸爸退休在家，你們可以有時間出來走走。等你們來了，我和新華先帶你們參觀溫哥華島的美景，它的美一定會讓你們驚嘆不已。我們還準(zhǔn)備歇業(yè)一段時間，帶你們?nèi)馗缛A，多倫多。正好我倆也沒去過多倫多，咱們一起去那里看大瀑布。

Now dad has retired from work to stay at home so you have time to come out to travel. After you come here, Xinhua and I will show you around Vancouver Island to see beautiful scenery there, and I am sure its beauty will make you surprised. We also planned to go out of business for a while to take you to Vancouver and Toronto. Xinhua and I just haven’t been to Toronto yet, so we can go there to see the Great Falls together. 

我們期待爸媽的到來，機票，旅行的一切費用由我們承擔(dān)，我們也會安排好保險的。

       We are looking forward to the arrival of you, we will pay all the costs including flight tickets and traveling expenses, and we will also arrange the insurance.
