國際貨幣基金組織總裁拉加德在法國出庭受審 International Monetary Fund (IMF) chief Christine Lagarde went on trial in France last Monday for negligence over a massive state payout to a businessman when she was finance minister in 2008.
因在2008年任法國財政部長期間同意向一位商人支付巨額國家賠償，國際貨幣基金組織(IMF)總裁拉加德被控犯有瀆職罪，于上周一在法國出庭受審。 As finance minister of then-president Nicolas Sarkozy, she approved an award of 404 million euros to Bernard Tapie for the disputed sale of a firm. 拉加德曾在時任法國總統(tǒng)薩科齊麾下任財政部長，她批準了就一樁公司買賣糾紛向塔皮支付4.04億歐元的賠償。  Tapie had supported Sarkozy in the 2007 presidential election. She is accused of allowing the misuse of public funds, rather than corruption. She denies any wrongdoing. 塔皮曾在2007年為薩科齊競選總統(tǒng)提供支持。拉加德未面臨貪污指控，而是被控允許濫用公共資金。拉加德本人否認自己有任何過錯。 Member of her legal team Christopher Baker said that Lagarde was pleased to be able to lay out her case. 她的律師團隊成員克里斯托弗·貝克表示，拉加德很愿意闡明自己的立場。 If Lagarde is convicted, she could face up to a year in jail and a fine of 15,000 euros.
